Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
This policy explains how Pip Studio Publisher (“the app”, “we”) accesses, uses, stores, shares and deletes data. The app is the private publishing tool of the Pip's Dino Diary YouTube channel and is used only by the channel owner.
Pip Studio Publisher uses YouTube API Services. By using the app you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
1. Who uses the app
The only user is the owner of the Pip's Dino Diary channel, who signs in with Google and authorizes the app for that one channel. The app has no public sign-up and never accesses the accounts of other people.
2. Google user data the app accesses
The app requests one OAuth scope, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl, and uses it only for the following:
| Data | Why the app uses it |
|---|---|
| Channel ID, channel title and uploads playlist ID of the authorized channel | To confirm the app is connected to the Pip's Dino Diary channel and not another channel. |
| Titles and IDs of the channel's 200 most recent uploads | To avoid uploading the same episode twice. |
| Titles and IDs of the channel's playlists | To add each new video to the correct playlist. |
| Title, category, privacy status, scheduled publish time, made-for-kids setting and processing status of videos the app uploaded | To check that each upload matches what the channel owner approved. |
The app writes to the channel only content created by the channel owner: video files, titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, English captions, playlist entries and new playlists for the channel.
The app does not access YouTube Analytics, comments, subscribers, viewing history, other channels, Gmail, contacts or any data about viewers.
3. How data is stored
- Authorization: the OAuth client credentials and the refresh token are stored only in the encrypted macOS Keychain on the channel owner's computer. Short-lived access tokens are kept in memory and never written to disk.
- Upload records: for each upload the app keeps a small local file with the YouTube video ID, upload time, which steps were completed (thumbnail, captions, playlist) and the result of the read-back check.
- The app has no server and no database. No Google user data is sent anywhere other than to Google's own APIs.
4. How data is shared
We do not sell, rent, share or transfer Google user data to anyone. Data is not used for advertising, profiling, or to develop, improve or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Pip Studio Publisher's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Children's privacy
The Pip's Dino Diary channel publishes content made for kids, and every upload is marked as made for kids. The app itself is used only by an adult channel owner. It never collects, stores or processes personal information from children or from any viewer.
6. Cookies and this website
The app is a command-line tool and does not use cookies or similar technologies on your device. This website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking, and contains no forms. It is hosted on Cloudflare Pages; Cloudflare may process technical request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site, as described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
7. Retention and deletion
- The refresh token is kept until access is revoked. Once access is revoked, the app can no longer reach the channel, and the stored credentials and upload records are deleted within 30 days.
- Upload records are kept only while the channel uses the app.
- Data about videos is refreshed from YouTube on every run and is not kept as a separate copy beyond the records listed in section 3.
8. Revoking access
You can revoke the app's access to your Google account at any time on the Google security settings page (Third-party apps & services → Pip Studio Publisher → Delete all connections). You can also ask us to delete stored data by email; we will do so within 30 days.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update this page and the date at the top when the policy changes.
